What is all-laser LASEK?

All-laser surface ablation (OLED / LASEK) corrects vision at the corneal surface without creating a flap. It can be a good option depending on your cornea and lifestyle — determined after examination.

Three-step diagram showing epithelial removal, corneal reshaping, and bandage contact lens placement during TransPRK
How all-laser TransPRK works

  1. The excimer laser removes the corneal epithelium as part of the laser treatment.
  2. The laser then reshapes the underlying corneal tissue to correct the refractive error.
  3. A bandage contact lens is placed to protect the cornea while the epithelium heals.

FAQ

Do you offer consultations in English?
Yes — 24/7 via our multilingual chat.
What should I prepare before the exam?
Stop wearing contact lenses before your exam; we’ll advise the timing when you book.

Does it hurt?
Numbing eye drops are used during the procedure. Discomfort and light sensitivity are common for the first few days while the surface of the eye heals.

When will my vision be clear?
Vision improves gradually as the corneal surface heals. Many patients can resume some daily activities within a few days, but visual recovery varies and may continue over several weeks.

What are the possible risks?
Possible risks include temporary pain and light sensitivity, dry eye, corneal haze, glare or halos, under- or over-correction and, rarely, infection.

Can I have surgery on the same day as my exam?
Same-day surgery may be possible for some procedures if the examination confirms that you are suitable, you have stopped contact lenses for the required time, the necessary lens or equipment is available, and the schedule allows. Otherwise, we will arrange another date.

How long should I stay in Seoul?
We generally recommend allowing about one week in Seoul for follow-up care. Your surgeon will advise you when it is appropriate to fly.

What is not included in the price?
Flights, accommodation and local transport are not included. The final plan and price are confirmed after your examination.

How can I pay?
Credit cards, including international cards, and cash are accepted.
