Why St. Mary's Jin Eye Center
A director who was a university-hospital professor personally handles everything from the first examination to surgery and follow-up, with no waiting list.
The lens is chosen from 14 types based on your eyes, not on the clinic's convenience.

1. The same specialist sees you from start to finish
Two board-certified ophthalmologists (Directors Park JinHeung and Park Jae-hyun), both former adjunct professors at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital (The Catholic University of Korea), personally handle examination, consultation, surgery, and follow-up . University hospitals may have the expertise, but you often wait months and meet a different person at every visit. It is also common for staff to do the tests, a coordinator to do the consultation, and the surgeon to meet you for the first time in the operating room. At St. Mary's Jin Eye Center, the person who knows your eyes is the same person from beginning to end.
“I came on a friend's recommendation. Perhaps because the director trained at a well-known university hospital, his explanations were clear and I felt I could trust him.”— Google review, 2026
2. 14 intraocular lenses — the choice changes the outcome
The outcome of cataract and presbyopia surgery depends greatly on which lens is implanted. St. Mary's Jin Eye Center carries 14 types of intraocular lenses, from monofocal to multifocal, and was one of the first clinics in Korea to introduce TECNIS Odyssey, Johnson & Johnson's next-generation lens. The lens is not chosen from what the clinic happens to have; we decide together, starting from your eye condition and lifestyle (driving, reading, night activities). We also use about 70 AI-based examinations and lens power calculation formulasto improve the accuracy of lens selection and cataract surgery.

3. We do not recommend surgery you don't need
If a detailed examination shows that surgery is not suitable, we will tell you so. We also explain the limitations of multifocal lenses (glare, adaptation period) before their benefits. You are welcome to have the examination only and go home — the decision can be made once you fully understand.
“The way they recommended only the treatment I actually needed gave me confidence, so I decided on surgery without hesitation.”— Google review, 2026
“No over-treatment, and I'm very satisfied with the surgical result. I'd recommend them to people around me.”— Google review, 2026
4. A real clinic is one that is easy to get to
A 3-minute walk from Gangnam Station Exit 5. From examination to surgery usually takes 1–2 weeks. Weekday registration is open until 17:45, and Saturday hours are 09:00–15:00 with no lunch break.
