Terms of Use
The purpose of these Terms and Conditions is to prescribe and ensure compliance with the terms and procedures for using the services provided by St. Mary's Jin Eye Center (hereinafter referred to as the 'Company'), as well as other necessary matters, in accordance with the Telecommunications Business Act and its Enforcement Decree.
Article 1Purpose
Jin Eye Center User Agreement (hereinafter referred to as “this Agreement”) aims to define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of members and Jin Eye Center when users utilize the internet-related services (hereinafter referred to as “the Services”) provided by Jin Eye Center.
Article 2Definition of a Member
"Member” refers to an individual who accesses St. Mary's Jin Eye Center, registers as an online member in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, and receives the services provided by St. Mary's Jin Eye Center."
Article 3Sign Up
① Any person who wishes to become a Member shall apply for membership by filling out the member information according to the registration form prescribed by St. Mary's Jin Eye Center and clicking the "Register" button.
② The membership agreement shall be deemed established at the point when the approval of St. Mary's Jin Eye Center reaches the applicant.
제4조Service Provision and Changes
① Jin Eye Center provides the following services to its members.
- News Mail Service
- Online Counseling Room/Appointment Service
- Sections and content services exclusively for St. Mary's Jin Eye Center online members
- Various other services provided by St. Mary's Jin Eye Center in partnership with third-party companies.
② St. Mary's Jin Eye Center may modify and provide services after notifying Members of the details of the changes and the effective date.
Article 5Service interruption
St. Mary's Jin Eye Center may temporarily suspend the provision of services in the event of maintenance, inspection, replacement, or breakdown of information and communication facilities, such as computers, or disruption of communication. Furthermore, the Clinic may completely discontinue current services based on reasons such as replacement with new services or other grounds deemed appropriate by St. Mary's Jin Eye Center.
Article 6Membership Withdrawal and Loss of Eligibility
① Members may request to withdraw their membership (Cancel registration) from St. Mary's Jin Eye Center at any time. Upon receiving such a request, St. Mary's Jin Eye Center will immediately proceed with the necessary steps to process the member's withdrawal.
② If a member falls under any of the following circumstances, Jin Eye Center may restrict, suspend, or revoke the member's membership status by appropriate means.
- In the event that false information is registered during the application process
- In cases where the electronic transaction order is threatened, such as by interfering with the use of the Jin Eye Center website or misappropriating its information
- Using Jin Eye Center to engage in acts prohibited by laws and regulations or these Terms and Conditions, or acts contrary to public order and morals
Article 7Protection of Members' Personal Information
St. Mary's Jin Eye Center endeavors to protect members' personal information, including registration information, in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. Matters regarding the protection of members' personal information shall be governed by the applicable laws and the “Privacy Policy” established by St. Mary's Jin Eye Center.
Article 8The Duties of Jin Eye Center
① Jin Eye Center shall not engage in any acts prohibited by laws and regulations or these Terms and Conditions, nor acts contrary to public order and morals. We strive to provide continuous and stable services in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
② Jin Eye Center establishes a security system to protect members' personal information (including credit information) so that members can safely use internet services.
③ Jin Eye Center does not send unsolicited commercial emails for profit to its members.
Article 9Member's Obligations Regarding ID and Password
① Except where Jin Eye Center bears responsibility under relevant laws and regulations or its “Privacy Policy,” each member is responsible for managing their own ID and password.
② Members must not allow third parties to use their ID and password.
③ If a Member recognizes that their ID or password has been stolen or is being used by a third party, they must immediately notify St. Mary's Jin Eye Center and follow any instructions provided by the Clinic.
Article 10Deletion of Public Posts
If the content of a member’s public post violates public order and morals, is related to criminal acts, or defames others by slandering other members or third parties, St. Mary Jin Eye Center may delete the post without prior notice and may restrict, suspend, or terminate the membership of the concerned member.
Article 11Copyright Ownership and Usage Restrictions
① Copyrights and other intellectual property rights for works created by St. Mary's Jin Eye Center shall belong to St. Mary's Jin Eye Center.
② Members shall not use information obtained through St. Mary's Jin Eye Center for commercial purposes by means of reproduction, transmission, publication, distribution, broadcasting, or any other method, nor allow third parties to use such information, without the prior consent of St. Mary's Jin Eye Center.
Article 12Revision of the Terms and Conditions
St. Mary's Jin Eye Center may amend these Terms and Conditions to the extent that such amendments do not violate relevant laws, including the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the Framework Act on Electronic Message and Commerce, the Digital Signature Act, and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection. Members who object to the amended Terms may withdraw their membership
Article 13Jurisdiction
Any lawsuit arising from a dispute between St. Mary's Jin Eye Center and a Member regarding the use of services shall be filed in a court of the Republic of Korea having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.
These terms and conditions shall be effective from April 15, 2021,until new terms and conditions are issued.
Prohibition of Unauthorized Email Collection
We refuse the unauthorized collection of email addresses posted on this website through the use of email collection programs or other technical devices. Please be advised that any violation of this policy may result in criminal punishment under the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.
