Terms and Conditions of Membership

The purpose of these terms and conditions is to comply with and stipulate the conditions and procedures for the use of services provided by St. Mary's Ophthalmology Department (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Company’) and other necessary matters as stipulated by the Telecommunications Business Act and the Municipal Penal Code.



Article 1 Purpose

These Terms of Use (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms”) are intended to stipulate the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of members and St. Mary's Clinic when using the Internet-related services (hereinafter referred to as the “Services”) provided by St. Mary's Clinic.



Article 2 Definition of Member

“Member” means a person who accesses St. Mary's Ophthalmology and signs up as an online member of St. Mary's Ophthalmology in accordance with these Terms and Conditions to receive the services provided by St. Mary's Ophthalmology.



Article 3 Membership

A person who wishes to become a member shall apply for membership by filling in the membership information according to the registration form prescribed by St. Mary's Ophthalmology Department and pressing the “Register” button.



② The membership contract shall be concluded when the acceptance of the membership agreement with St. Mary's Jinan reaches the applicant.

St. Mary's Eye Clinic provides the following services to its members.

1.St Mary's Ophthalmology Newsmail Service

2.St. Mary's Ophthalmology Online Consultation Room / Appointment Service

3.Sections and content services for Our Lady of Good Counsel and online members

4. other services provided by St. Mary's Ophthalmology in partnership with third parties



St. Mary's Eye Clinic may change and provide the Service by notifying the Member of the contents and date of provision of the Service to be changed.



Article 5 Interruption of the Service

St. Mary's Ophthalmology may temporarily suspend the provision of the Service in the event of maintenance, inspection, replacement or breakdown of information and communication facilities such as computers, interruption of communication, etc. and may completely suspend the currently provided Service due to replacement with a new service or other reasons deemed appropriate by St. Mary's Ophthalmology.



Article 6 Withdrawal and Disqualification

A member may request St. Mary's Eye Clinic to terminate his/her membership registration (withdrawal of membership) at any time, and St. Mary's Eye Clinic will take steps to terminate the member's membership registration upon receipt of such request.



② If a member falls under any of the following reasons, St. Mary's Eye Clinic may restrict, suspend, or revoke the member's membership in an appropriate manner.

1. you provided false information when applying for registration

2. threaten the order of electronic transactions, such as interfering with the use of St. Mary's and the Site or stealing information therefrom

3. use St. Mary's Ophthalmology to commit acts that are prohibited by laws and these Terms and Conditions or that are contrary to public order and morals



Article 7 Personal Information of Members

St. Mary's Ophthalmology Department endeavours to protect the personal information of members, including member registration information, in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. The personal information of members shall be protected in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations and the “Personal Information Protection Policy” set forth by St. Mary's Ophthalmology.



Article 8 Obligations of St. Mary's Ophthalmology

(1) St. Mary's Ophthalmology Department shall not engage in any acts prohibited by laws and regulations or contrary to public order and morals, and shall strive to provide continuous and stable services in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.



St. Mary's Ophthalmology Department establishes a security system to protect members' personal information (including credit information) so that members can use the Internet service safely.



③ St. Mary's Eye Clinic will not send commercial emails that you do not wish to receive.



Article 9 Member's obligations regarding IDs and passwords

Each member is responsible for the management of his/her ID and password, except in cases where the responsibility is assumed by St. Mary's Jinan, the relevant laws and regulations, and the “Privacy Policy”.



Members shall not make their ID and password available to any third party.



③ Members shall immediately notify St. Mary's Eye Clinic if they become aware that their ID and password have been stolen or are being used by a third party, and shall follow any instructions given by St. Mary's Eye Clinic.



Section 10 Deletion of Public Posts

If the content of a member's public postings violates public order and morals, involves criminal activity, or is defamatory by slandering other members or third parties, St. Mary's Eye Clinic may remove such public postings without prior notice to the member, and may restrict, suspend or terminate the member's membership.



Article 11 Attribution of Copyright and Restrictions on Use

Copyright and other intellectual property rights to works created by St. Mary's Ophthalmology Department belong to St. Mary's Ophthalmology Department.



Members shall not reproduce, transmit, publish, distribute, broadcast, or otherwise use the information obtained through the use of St. Mary's Ophthalmology for commercial purposes without the prior consent of St. Mary's Ophthalmology or cause it to be used by a third party.



Article 12 Amendments to the Terms

St. Mary's Eye Clinic may amend these Terms and Conditions to the extent that they do not violate applicable laws, including the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the Basic Electronic Transactions Act, the Electronic Signature Act, and the Act on the Promotion of Information and Communication Network Utilisation. Members who have objections to the amended Terms may withdraw.



Article 13 Jurisdiction

Any disputes arising from the use of the Service between St. Mary's Ophthalmology and its members shall be submitted to the courts of the Republic of Korea having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.
